Happy Saturday ???? Quick trip to Miami to shoot for @bsnsupplements was a success ✅ It was nice to get out of Orlando even for just a few days to see life at a different angle and pace. Though I loved getting out and seeing some new scenery, there’s nothing like being back in your own routine and back on your ish. Let’s get these gains fam!!! Here’s my favorite exercise: incline bench press. Muscles worked: chest (emphasis on upper chest aka clavicular head), anterior delts of shoulders, triceps, and stabilizer muscles in the rotator cuff. Why I like to perform with dumbbells: You can rotate your wrists and elbows to your comfort opposed to barbell. Ahhh the day of rest ????????♂️ A necessary day of the week. Personally I can get caught up in that “GO GO GO” type of mentality, and seldom take the time I need to unplug and recharge to perform optimally. As I get older, I realize how important is for me to have that balance. I’m not even talking about skipping the gym for recovery, but more so a day dedicated to relaxation and self care (as corny as that can sound haha). Everybody’s expectations for themselves are relative and therefore different. For some (mostly beginners), putting up 135 lb on bench press is a feat that seems nearly impossible, while those that aren’t lifting 315 for reps are disappointed. While staying active and getting a workout out in is inherently good, doing exercises that are not tailored for your specific goal will only lead to disappointment later down the road ???? When pertaining to exercise, “the more you do, the better off you’ll be” doesn’t necessarily apply. All I have for you guys right now is throwbacks because I’m chasing this leanness... and frankly I haven’t had the chance to shoot new content. ⠀⠀ I’m about to hit CHEST & TRICEPS and fired up to destroy it. This is closest thing I have to wearing green ???? so Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ⠀⠀ Today is a pretty normal day for me... just trying to get a bit more dialed in when it comes to my nutrition; I made sure to have a grocery haul with only items that will help me progress in my fitness goals, not hinder it. ⠀⠀ How was your guys’ day if you’re not drunk already ????☘️

When starting anything new, we are bound to make some errors. If you can avoid making some rookie mistakes, your progress will be seen earlier on and stay that much more consistent over time. If I could go back in time and give myself some advice in my own fitness journey, it would be to avoid doing some of these things: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Not warming up correctly 2. Not eating enough 3. Training without a plan 4. Staying up all night (lack of sleep) 5. Focusing on accessory movements too much ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
